How to limit your time on a website
Use a time allowance instead of a full block. In Pawse Pro, set something like “30 minutes of YouTube a day”. Time only counts while the site is on screen or playing audio, and when it's used up the site is blocked until the next day.
Set a time or visit limit
- Open the site and click the Pawse icon.
- Open “Allow some visits or time instead”.
- Choose an amount: minutes or hours, or a number of visits, per day, week or month.
- Choose what happens when it's used up: blocked until it resets, or extra time behind a challenge.
Time or visits?
- Time works best for sites you drift into, like YouTube or Instagram.
- Visits work best for sites you check too often, like news or email: “5 visits a day”, each up to 30 minutes.
Questions
Does background time count?
No. Time counts only while the site is the tab you're looking at, or while it's playing audio. It pauses when you lock your computer.
